You may be gearing up for some summer sun on our own fair shores or further afield but before you go, I thought you might like to know what has been happening in your local market.
In brief, we have not drawn breath and the momentum is continuing well into July. Volume has driven the market and buyer confidence is undeniable.
- Agreed sales up by c. 80% versus this time last year
- Completed transactions up by 160% versus this time last year
- Applicants registered to buy up by 42% versus this time last year
Cynics would say that these figures are not surprising given the global situation however, international travel is still at a standstill and we are dealing with an unprecedented number of new buyers registering. What we believed to have been our record year for sales in 2020 has been left for dust, as we rewrite the record book once again!
In terms of what has been selling, we have sales on a range of property from the smaller one-bedroom apartments to the large five storey townhouses. There has been something for everyone!
So, looking forwards to the summer months what do we anticipate? Buyer registrations are seeing no sign of slowing down so we expect the next six months to be equally busy.

Pimlico, the property sweet spot

Young professionals love a sweet spot that offers central London’s buzz but cheaper monthly rents.
Next to the river and with Victoria station and Westminster on the doorstep, Pimlico is right in the thick of it.

Pimlico offers homebuyers a square deal for prime central London

Two-hundred years ago, Pimlico was a swamp. Raised using the spoil from the development of St Katherine’s Docks, “South Belgravia” was the brainchild of master builder Thomas Cubitt, who wanted to extend the grand stucco residencies that he had designed on Eaton and Belgrave squares down to the river.
